The mission of Jeanerette Senior High School is to  nurture students with love and compassion, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to graduate, continue their education, and become successful .

The purpose of Jeanerette Senior high is to provide an environment devoted to achieving academic excellence. The faculty is committed to providing a safe and secure setting where all may work collaboratively to stimulate and challenge each student. JSHS strives to make every member of the school community feel known, valued and inspired.

¨ To reach the expected School Performance Score by increasing teach collaboration, implementing purposeful professional development, employing date-driven decision making, enhancing literacy skills in all content areas, integrating available technology, and designing instructional strategies which meet the needs of the school’s population

¨ To have every student feel known, valued, and inspired.

¨ To create and instill a sense of pride in all member of the school’s community through targeting and developing skills in students

¨ To enhance the PBIS reward system for both students and staff members

¨ To take proactive measures to identify and provide intervention for at risk students in order to reduce course failures, increase attendance rate, and decrease discipline referrals with the hopes of increasing the cohort graduation rate.

¨ To effectively integrate instructional technology techniques and resources with high yield teaching strategies to create 21st century learning environments for all students at Jeanerette Senior High School.
